National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education.

Girls into STEM (Siemens)

 

 

 

 

 

Meet the Stemettes with Siemens Energy is a Stemettes style panel discussion in celebration of some of the inspiring women in Siemens Energy across various areas of STEM. We’ll discuss different ways people begin their STEM careers and hear from an impressive panel about their unique experiences in the industry. We'll then head over to Remo for a follow-on networking session (Please note certain regions will be given priority for the networking session, therefore, a limited amount of participants will be able to join this follow-on session and will get a separate e-mail confirming their spot ).

Meet the Russell Group Virtual Event

 

 

 

This online and interactive experience will allow you to explore all 24 Russell Group universities and chat directly to their representatives and ambassadors. You will be able to view information and videos about each university, link directly to Virtual Campus Tours to explore university facilities and accommodation, download prospectuses and take part in 13 live webinars in the virtual auditorium.

National Apprenticeship Week 2021 is all about celebrating apprenticeships and highlighting the work done by employers and apprentices. This is an opportunity for employers to promote their apprenticeship schemes and jobs. Employers from all sectors come together to present the diverse range of career options available, giving employers the chance to engage and inspire future apprentices.

University of Lincoln Live Lounge with the Cowley Brothers The brothers, who guided Lincoln City FC to two promotions and a historic FA Cup quarter final, will be discussing secrets of motivation, teamwork, and performance in a new three-part series of livestreamed talks.

Apprenticeship Virtual Careers Fair by Springpod

 

 

 

 

 

Join the hundreds of other schools that are switching to online and give your students the opportunity to learn from companies such as HSBC, Network Rail, EY and Cancer Research UK. Some of the companies providing talks and interacting with students are also either due to run Virtual Work Experience Programmes in the coming months or are already accepting applications. This means that, not only will students be able to learn about potential apprenticeships at each company, but also find out about current programmes and insight days that they can get involved with from home!

UK University & Apprenticeship Search Virtual Fair 

 

 

 

 

 

This event will feature a wide range of universities, colleges, and apprenticeship providers from across the UK, allowing you to explore all your post-18 options in one place. Universities will include Russell Group, red brick, modern and specialist institutions, as well as colleges and apprenticeship providers. You’ll be able to explore exhibition stands, live chat with admissions officers, student ambassadors, academics and recruitment teams to ask any questions you have, view prospectuses and information, and take part in 10 live and interactive webinars in the auditorium. Q&A session for young people with Tim Peake

 

 

Facilitated by Tim Campbell MBE, the first winner of TV’s The Apprentice, Tim Peake will be answering questions from young people (aged 11-18) about space, STEM careers, and his chances of joining NASA’s Artemis Program to return astronauts to the moon by 2024.

Army Careers Centre

 

 

 

 

 

The Army Careers Centre is hoping to engage with schools throughout 2021 to discuss careers available within the British Army. This would include in date information regarding apprenticeships and options to study up to Degree level. Also covered would be information on the Army Foundation College Harrogate (AFC) which is our Junior Entry Phase 1 training establishment. The AFC plays a vital role in providing basic military training while developing future leaders. It provides skills to succeed within the Army and beyond in future careers by offering a mix of military training, personal development and education.

Offering the option of virtual open days in addition to open days that we run on campus. You will be able to see what ACC is all about, view cutting edge equipment and facilities, find out important information about our courses and find out about creative industries from our subject specialist. We will have a full team on hand to answer any questions you have and arrange individual advice and guidance sessions. Once you’ve booked our engagement team will get in touch with an open day session key and they will be able to pick up any questions you have in advance.
