Performing Arts

The Performing Arts curriculum intends to:

  • Develop individuality and confidence whilst encouraging students to express themselves creatively. 
  • Through study and performance, acquire knowledge and work collaboratively to explore inspirational themes and ideas through practical activities, enabling them to experience the world around them and appreciate situations from more than one perspective.
  • Develop creativity, empathy, social and emotional maturity as well as specific performance, devising, reflective skills and problems solving skills, which supports their learning and develops them as a person, who is able to contribute fully to society.
  • Encourage a passionate appreciation of theatrical culture through the study of theatre practitioners and styles and enables students to have high aspirations of themselves and how they view the world, to support them on the next step of their journey.
