A Day in the Life of a Priory Witham Sixth Form Student

Our Sixth Form combines specialist technical and vocational learning with opportunities to develop confidence, leadership and career-ready skills. 

Sixth Form Experience;

  • Dedicated Sixth Form facilities 
  • Computer-based study area 
  • Access to the Academy restaurant 
  • Specialist teaching areas 
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and employability skills 

Sixth Form students are an important part of Academy life. In addition to their studies, students can contribute through a range of opportunities including the Student Leadership Team, subject ambassador roles, wellbeing ambassadors, fundraising activities and school productions 

These experiences help students develop confidence, responsibility and skills that support progression into higher education, apprenticeships and employment. 

Typical Sixth Form Day;

8:40am - 9:10am- Registration

9:10am - 10:10am- Lesson 1

10:10am - 11:10am- Lesson 2

11:10am -11:30am- Morning Break

11:30am - 12:30pm- Lesson 3

12:30pm - 1:10pm- Lunch

1:10pm - 2:10pm- Lesson 4

2:10pm - 3:10pm- Lesson 5

3:10pm onwards- Enrichment Activities, Employer Engagement, Clubs and Independent Study

Placement Timetable

T Level Students

You will follow the working pattern of your placement employer, typically attending placement from June/July in Year 12 until October in Year 13. 

Important: Students continue to have the normal summer holiday. 

Level 2 Childcare Students 

You will normally attend your placement one day per week from Term 2 of Year 12, allowing you to develop practical skills and gain valuable industry experience alongside your studies. 

Beyond Your Lessons 

Sixth Form life includes much more than timetabled learning. 

Students can take part in: 

  • Student leadership opportunities
  • Employer engagement activities 
  • Careers events 
  • Fundraising projects 
  • Sports and wellbeing activities 
  • Educational visits 
  • Personal Development sessions 

These opportunities help students build confidence, leadership skills and professional behaviours that support future success.
