Level 2 Childcare at Priory Witham Sixth Form in Lincoln provides students with an introduction to Early Years Education and Childcare while preparing them for further study, apprenticeships and employment. 

Through classroom learning and industry placement experience, students gain a greater understanding of child development, safeguarding, communication and professional practice within early years settings.

Industry Placement Experience 

A key part of the programme is completing an industry placement. 

During Term 1 of Year 12, students prepare to become placement-ready, including completing their DBS application, developing professional behaviours and preparing for work within an early years setting. 

Students then normally attend placement one day per week from Term 2 of Year 12, gaining valuable practical experience and developing the skills, confidence and professionalism required to work with children.
