Targeted Support for 16-19 Catch Up

High quality teaching for all

  • CPD to embed quality first teaching in relation to scaffolding; cognitive and metacognitive strategies.
  • Dedicate Senior / Middle Leader time to develop and further strengthen our assessment systems to ensure teachers can accurately track and target gaps in learning and adapt teaching and learning accordingly to incisively meet need and accelerate progress.
  • Continued development of a sequential, challenging and inclusive curriculum

Effective deployment of PSA support. 

  • Clear identification of students / groups needing PSA support.
  • Identification of clear objectives for this support directed by teaching staff.

Wellbeing support for students through use of the ‘Nurture Garden‘.

  • Plans in place to use the Nurture Garden for small group support for wellbeing, mental health support including anxiety.
