Year 4 climb into their stories
Children create scenes to support their writing, writes Grace Rookledge
Today (Thursday 23rd February) Year 4 have been creating real-life settings to help with their writing.
During this module the children of Year 4 have been reading A Pharoah's Fate, a mystery which investigates the murder of a pharoah.
The children will now be writing their own mystery and to prepare they have created their own worlds so that they can actually walk through the story and visualise it happening.
Children used an array of items to replicate their scenes. Blue stones were used to represent the Nile, while silver stones were used to show the trail of the villain during the story.
The Year 4 adults will now excitedly await the children's writing, which should be full of experience-based description.
