Glory for tag rugby team

Children do Priory proud on and off the field, writes Phoebe Anderson

This morning, a group of KS2 pupils did the academy proud, winning a very competitive tag rugby competition at Ling Moor.

Despite freezing conditions our fantastic team won four out of five games, drawing just one to take top spot!

As well as dominating on the field, the children did Priory Witham proud off of it with their behaviour and sportsmanship.

Miss James, who coached the children, said: “They were a real credit to the school.”

Children attending, from years 4, 5 and 6, were Callum Green, Frank Blocinski, Logan McCann, Natalie Fretwell, Samuel Dhliwayo, Eringas Zikorious, Lilli-Anna DuRose, James Johnson, Joe Churcher and Dale Green.

As a reward the team came home with a certificate, medal and a trophy which will be kept at school.
